π Ingredients:

2 packs JuicyBite Chicken Breast (4 oz each), sliced

2 cups cooked Japanese short-grain rice (hot)

1/2 onion, thinly sliced

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon mirin
-
1 tablespoon sake (or substitute with water)

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1 tablespoon neutral oil (e.g. vegetable or canola)

Optional toppings: sliced scallions, toasted sesame seeds, nori strips, or pickled ginger
πͺ Instructions:
1. Prepare the Simmer Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Set aside.
2. SautΓ© the Onions:
In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, add the oil and sliced onion. Cook for 4β5 minutes until translucent and slightly caramelized.
3. Add Chicken and Sauce:
Add the sliced JuicyBite Chicken Breast to the pan along with the sauce mixture. Simmer for 3β4 minutes until the chicken is warmed through and coated in the glaze.
4. Add the Eggs:
Crack the eggs directly into the pan (on top of the chicken and onions), cover with a lid, and steam for 3β4 minutes, or until the whites are set but the yolks remain soft. (Adjust time if you prefer firmer yolks.)
5. Assemble the Donburi:
Scoop hot rice into bowls. Carefully slide the chicken, egg, and onions over the rice. Spoon over remaining sauce from the pan.
6. Garnish and Serve:
Top with sliced scallions, sesame seeds, or nori strips for added flavor and texture. Serve hot.
